The Mugdown Recognizes Senior Members in Annual “Coming Out Day”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 4/15/2016

COLLEGE STATION  — The Mugdown is proud to announce the graduation of eight members from Texas A&M and from the staff of The Mugdown.

Since the organization’s founding, Mugdown staff remains anonymous during their time as members. The policy of anonymity serves to facilitate the freedom to satirize subjects with whom writers might be personally connected and the flexibility to tackle sensitive topics. In addition, it restricts the amount of outside influences from third parties who are seeking to convey an opinion through the publication.

Each year the identities of the graduating seniors are released on an annual “Coming Out Day” in order to finally recognize our staff members who have contributed immense time and effort without credit.

The Mugdown wishes the following students a heartfelt appreciation for their dedication to the organization and for the legacy they have created:

Amy Brooke

Benjamin Dierker

Brian Johnson

Connor Paetzold

Joel Wakefield

Matt Campbell

Patrick O’Neal

Taylor Brissette
